Stock Alerts – Track Price Movements Automatically
What Is a Stock Alert?
A stock alert (also called a price alert) is an automatic notification that is triggered when a stock reaches a certain price. This way, investors never miss important price movements again – whether it's a buying opportunity or a risk warning.
What Is a Stock Alert Used For?
- Seize buying opportunities: Set an alert for when a stock falls to a favorable entry price.
- Lock in profits: Get notified when a price target is reached.
- Limit losses: Early warning for sharp price declines.
- Track without active monitoring: Watch your portfolio passively without checking prices every day.
Stock Alerts as Part of an Investment Strategy
As part of value investing, a stock alert is especially valuable: first, a stock is fundamentally analyzed with the Finanzoo F-Score and a fair value is determined. Then an alert is set at the desired entry price – allowing disciplined waiting for the right opportunity.
| Price below X € | Entry opportunity due to fundamental undervaluation |
| Price above X € | Price target reached, consider taking profits |
| −10% in one week | Sharp price decline, possible cause analysis |
| New 52-week low | Possible entry point after analysis |
Stock Alerts for the Finanzoo F-Score
The F-Score is the core of Finanzoo's fundamental analysis and shows whether a company is considered rather over- or undervalued. Finanzoo lets you get notified automatically via stock alert whenever the F-Score changes. The alert can also be activated for crossing certain score thresholds.
Model Portfolio Rules
The Finanzoo model portfolio follows simple, clear rules: at ≥ 70 points a position is added. At an F-Score of ≤ 40 points, positions are closed. All stocks in the model portfolio are on the analysis watchlist to monitor their development. In this watchlist, the threshold values for stock alerts can be set individually. Notifications are sent by email.
Setting Up a Stock Alert – Investing Intelligently
A stock alert helps investors keep track of the stock market and react quickly to changes in their portfolio. Investors can specify that they want to be notified when a stock reaches a certain price or meets another defined condition.
A stock alert can be set up in various ways: through trading platforms, finance apps, or directly in Finanzoo. There, you create a watchlist with stocks and define criteria – for example a specific price, a percentage change, or an F-Score threshold.
When the condition is met, the system sends a notification so the investor can act quickly – for example selling a stock when a price target is reached, or building a position when the price has dropped after a market correction.
Stock alerts are also useful for tracking market changes and trends. A notification about a sharp price increase or decrease can help analyze whether it's a short-term or long-term development.
Stock alerts are a useful tool – not a substitute for comprehensive market analysis. For sound decisions, alerts should always be combined with the Finanzoo F-Score and fundamental analysis.
